Chamber Programs

Annual Meeting & Awards Banquet
Welcome to an evening consisting of some business, but mostly pleasure…and networking with fellow Chamber members.
The evening kicks off with a brief program from the Executive Director presenting a look back at the Chamber’s past year and a peak at the goals ahead. A new Ambassador of the Year is named and a new Chamber president may be introduced while businesses and individuals are honored for their contributions and success.

Business After 5
In addition to an excellent networking opportunity for Chamber members, it also serves as a chance for a host business to showcase its staff, facility, products and services. Whether you are a longtime member, just recently joined, or are considering joining the Chamber, these informal settings are a great way for you to connect with other business people in the community. Don’t forget to bring along your business cards!

Business Luncheons/Breakfasts
A great way to learn about a particular topic that may help you run your business better or provide you with new insight, all while networking with fellow Chamber members. Held during the early morning or lunch hour at a different location each session, these meetings are a great excuse to get out of the office, learn something new, and meet new people. Bring a little extra cash with you and participate in our 50/50 raffle.

Job Fair and Business Expo
Individuals can see what potential employment opportunities exist at local businesses and industries. Businesses can expose their products and services to the masses.

Golf Outing
Our annual golf outing is held the second Wednesday in June. This event raises necessary funds for our organization while offering a day of networking for business leaders in a relaxed environment on the course. Reach multiple Chamber members and help our organization reach new levels of excellence. Plan to join other Chamber members, clients and friends for a great day out on the course in June. Sponsorship opportunities are available for your business.

Youth Leadership
The Chamber’s Youth Leadership Program exists to create business opportunities, support civic involvement and promote an overall investment in the future of the community. The program targets area high school juniors and develops their skills so they may become active leaders in their senior year at school and beyond in our community. The Chamber of Commerce is an excellent place for collaborative programs such as these to be centered–merging education, business and the community.

Portage Green Gift Certificates
Portage Green Certificates can be conveniently purchased in $5, $10 and $25 increments at the Chamber office and are redeemable at all participating member businesses. Once the certificate has been purchased from us, the recipient can then redeem the certificate at any of these listed participating businesses immediately. For participating Chamber member businesses that receive a certificate, write your business name in the “redeemed at” line on the certificate and return it to our office for reimbursement. The Chamber will then issue a check to the participating business for the face value of the certificate.
